Peter Robinson (1966 –)
Peter Robinson was born in Ashburton. From 1985 -1989 he studied sculpture at Ilam School of Fine Arts, Canterbury University. Robinson now lives and works in Auckland. He was the New Zealand representative at the 49th Venice Biennale in 2001. He continues to exhibit widely in New Zealand and overseas, with his work held in major collections.
SoFA Series
The SoFA Print Project was organised by Professor Simon Ogden as a fundraiser in 2004. A portfolio of 24 prints by various artists associated with the Ilam School of Fine Arts was created. The sale of these raised $148,000.
The contributing artists were Don Binney, Joanna Braithwaite, L Budd, Barry Cleavin, Shane Cotton, Denise Copland, Bill Culbert, Bing Dawe, Neil Dawson, Tony de Lautour, Jeremy Diggle, Andrew Drummond, Jason Greig, Fiona Gunn, Bill Hammond, Rob McLeod, Julia Morison, Simon Ogden, Don Peebles, Seraphine Pick, Peter Robinson, Carole Shepheard, Cathryn Shine, Philip Trusttum.
A Complete set of prints was gifted to Victoria and Albert Museum, London, by Professor Simon Ogden.
