Born and raised in Christchurch Philip Beadle (1959 -) was inspired to paint by his uncle artist Peter Beadle. He is self-taught. His favourite mediums include oil, watercolour, dry-point and monotype. Many of his works related the Canterbury and Banks Peninsula environment. He has been fortunate to travel regularly and has spent time painting in the UK and Europe.
