John Coley (1953-)
John Coley was born in Palmerston North, and studied Fine Arts at Ilam School of Fine Arts, where he was a founder of the 20/20 Vision group of artists. John was appointed director of the Robert McDougall Art Gallery in 1980, retiring in 1996 to become a full-time painter.
