John Edgar ONZM (1950-2021)
John Edgar began work as a sculptor in 1977, when he established a jade carving
workshop in his home town of Mt Albert, Auckland.
John Edgar was an internationally renowned New Zealand sculptor, who worked with stone, jade, metal and glass. An environmentalist, Edgar was a central figure in stone carving from the early 1980’s.
