Felicity West
1945 –
Born in Auckland in 1945, Felicity West moved to Kaipara in 1969 where she creates in her home studio.
West completed a Diploma of Fine Arts at Elam Art School in 1964 and returned in 1996 to study for a Batchelor degree. She has spent many years as an art educator teaching print making and drawing in various institutions and at specialty workshops throughout the country. In her own art practice her primary focus was on the print making where she gained recognition for her intaglio prints. Later work has included painting. Landscape imagery dominates in both her prints and paintings.
West has exhibited widely with solo and group shows.
