Susan Wilson
1951 –
Born in New Zealand in 1951, Susan Wilson grew up in rural Otago. Wilson first trained as a nurse becoming a specialist neurosurgical theatre nurse. In 1976 she began her OE travelling through South America before heading to London to work. In London she initially nursed prior to being accepted to study at Camberwell Art College and later the Royal Academy, London. Her major was painting.
Wilson has continued to reside in the UK teaching painting and drawing and creating her own work.
