Adrienne Martyn (1950 –) is a widely acclaimed New Zealand photographer. She was born in Wellington then moved with her family to Invercargill. Fascinated with photography on leaving school she gained work in the Campbell Studio, Invercargill them moved north to work with Euan Sarginson in Christchurch. From there she went to Sydney working on the Sydney Morning Herald.
In 1977 she returned to Dunedin and studied at the Otago Polytechnic School of Art and
Design. In 2005 she completed a MFA (First Class Hons.) from Elam School of Art at the University of Auckland.
She is recognised for her portrait work and also for the series she completed of interiors of empty buildings. Her work is held in major institution collections throughout New Zealand.
