Leo Bensemann. OBE
1912 – 1986
Leo Bensemann was known as a New Zealand artist, printer, typographer, publisher and editor. He moved to Christchurch in 1938 with his friend Lawrence Baigent. Bensemann and Baigent shared a house with Rita Angus on Cambridge Terrace. All 3 artists became part of the artist collective known as The Group and exhibited together.
Bensemann worked at Caxton Press from 1938 – 1978.
