Laura Hardie
1967 -
Scottish artist Laura Hardie studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee.
Hardie is very skilled at drawing in charcoal, chalk pastel and pencil . She also paints in acrylics. Hardie has become internationally recognised for her animal portraiture, particularly of horses and dogs. With her obsessive dedication to the detail she produces almost photographic images.
This work was purchased in Dunedin when Hardie spent some time and included an exhibition of recently completed works.
Laura is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, and works from her home studio in Edinburgh, where she still lives with her daughter.
